Program
D1
We will leave the St-George ski lift parking lot after loading our personal belongings at 8:00 a.m. to go along the Doubs river.
We will start our first day adventure with the incredible Roche-de-Moron.
On the program, around 40km and 1100m of elevation gain, but don't panic you are on electric and we can count on logistics in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Passing through Le Locle, we will begin our ascent to arrive at the top of Solliat and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Creux du Van, a UNESCO heritage site.
Once we have recovered from our emotions, it is at the La Fauconnières mountain pasture that we will spend our first evening and night under the caring eye of our host.
J2
Departure from Fauconnières towards Sainte-Croix. Pretty trails with a beautiful view of Lake Neuchâtel await us there. We will continue on single forest trails which will take us to the summit of Chasserons with a 360° panoramic view. We will gently finish our descent towards the Hôtel de France in Sainte-Croix. The latter will offer us its best regional products.
Allow around 35km for 1000D+
D3
Bike in the saddle, we will head towards Les Aiguilles de Baume for a crossing of small valleys dotted with alpine chalets and military forts along the Franco-Swiss border.
Once passed not far from Suchet, it's the turn of the Orbe Gorges at the bottom of the valley which will amaze us along a magical climb which will take us straight to the Day Falls. Here where a little swim will be irresistibly welcome.
Once dry (or not), head for the Grottes de Vallorbe and Lac de Joux. The Hôtel de la Truite will welcome us for a well-deserved rest and for the more motivated why not one last splash before the beer ^^.
Count around 40km 1200D+
J4
For our last day, we will start our day on the banks of the magnificent Lac de Joux. Under the peaceful and carefree gaze of the chamois as well as the local inhabitants, we will begin our final climb through forests and pastures.
We will meet a source of crystal clear and natural water coming from the depths of which no one knows the origin. Some of them come out just 10m below the peaks.
Obviously, like all good things, there is an end.
The last descent on the Lake Geneva side will be parallel to the St-George glacier where we will end our adventure.
